Whether we like it or not, casino gambling is now a fact of life for those of us who reside in Western New York. Unfortunately, one of the effects of having several casinos in our back yard is that some of our friends and neighbors will develop a compulsive gambling habit. Statistics show that people living in areas having a casino in close proximity have significantly higher rates of bankruptcy filings.
